Practise Filming Conversation - Editing And Filming

After gathering all the relevant research we wanted to start carrying out the actual process of practising of producing film and editing.
As part of a perlimary task( a development practise piece of filming) we decided to do a short piece of a conversation and following tracking shots. The footage included exchange of some dialogue with some basic camera angles to practise the skill of filming and editing. In order to gain a idea of the different types of filming we also did a short run up piece of a character walking into the room. This allowed us to practise different angles.

The types of shots included where:

- First shot is a long shot pan that is on a slight low angle.
- Followed by a high angled medium shot.
- Then a medium shot pan.
- After is low angle medium shot with slight movement to the left.
- Then a medium shot, which follows the character sitting down.
- A medium shot/ side view.
- Close up of characters,This shot is used to show more emotion than a standard shot would do.

This experience allowed us to both film and give us a chance to edit.We originally started editing with the simple Windows Movie Maker software but due to this software's limitations we choose to start editing with premiere pro as this program has much more functions. It was good that we got a chance to use this software early on as it was new to use both.

This was edited in a DV - pal standard 48khz format which is a 4:3 Ratio on TV specs
